ONE PHOTO / ONE LEAD PERFORMER
How to make an Outstanding Tiny Desk AI video from one photo
Start with one person, an intimate desk-side setting and a short performance with original sound. Prepare the right photo, then check the face, voice and movement before sharing.
The aim is an original AI performance. It is not a copy of an NPR broadcast, the original “Outstanding” recording or a particular artist’s voice.
Choose one clear adult portrait
Use a photo of yourself, or an adult whose photo and likeness you have permission to edit. A photo being public does not establish that permission.
- Keep one face and the shoulders fully visible.
- Choose a sharp, front-facing image with even light.
- Avoid sunglasses, strong shadows and anything covering the mouth.
- Skip group photos, tiny distant faces and heavily filtered portraits.
- Use JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB.
You do not need a photo taken on a stage. One photo supplies the lead performer; it does not select a whole band of real people.
Follow the one-photo workflow
Choose and preview your photo
Select Choose a photo in the workbench. The first preview stays in your browser; selecting a file alone does not upload it or start a payment. Use Replace photo for a clearer portrait, or Remove to clear it. File checks cannot verify age, identity or permission.
Confirm permission
Confirm that you are an adult and have permission to use both the photo and the pictured adult’s likeness. Replacing the photo resets this confirmation. Do not present a synthetic performance as a real appearance, endorsement or statement by that person.
Check your video options
Select Check video options. Review the available output, original-audio direction, one-time price, credit count and expiry before deciding to purchase. A one-time pack does not start a subscription or automatic renewal. Do not continue if the checkout amount differs from the price you reviewed.
If the session cannot be submitted, keep or replace your local photo and check again. That message does not confirm a generation or a purchase.
Follow the private order
For an accepted order, keep its full private recovery link. The order page distinguishes payment confirmation, processing, review, completion and confirmed refund states. Returning from checkout is not proof of payment or a finished video. Use the same order link to check progress rather than making another purchase.
Watch the face, hands and microphone
Review the beginning, middle and end of the video. A good opening frame alone is not enough.
Check that the lead remains recognizable when the head turns, the mouth opens or the camera moves. Look for a drifting jaw, changing features or faces merging into other objects.
Watch the hands, fingers and microphone together. A hand should not pass through the microphone, and the body should remain coherent during gestures. Fast movement and crowded details can make errors more noticeable.
If an output looks wrong, keep the order link and identify the affected moment. Rebuying the same task is not the recovery process.
Listen to the original sound
The audio direction is generated performance sound, rather than the original “Outstanding” recording. A particular singer, familiar melody, existing lyrics or exact lip sync is not promised.
For a lead-performer clip, listen for an audible original vocal moment, such as a short wordless phrase or humming, that fits the visible performance. Check for silence, clipped sound, abrupt changes and a vocal that does not match the movement. An audio track existing in a file does not by itself make the performance convincing.
Play the downloaded file as well as the on-page result. If required sound is missing or the file cannot play, keep the same order for review or recovery.
Adding music on a social platform
You can keep the generated sound, or use audio for which you have appropriate permission. A platform’s music selection has its own terms; adding a track there does not give this website rights to that recording or automatically permit every commercial use.
Check the mix before posting: added music can drown out the generated vocal. Keep the AI nature clear and avoid implying an artist, broadcaster or team endorsed the clip.
Fan ideas without an official endorsement
A fan scene can use your own authorized portrait and an original visual direction. A coach or team reference does not supply permission to use a player’s likeness, a team logo, official footage or a real performer’s recording.
This workflow does not promise a team-specific template, exact uniform or official concert recreation. Keep the focus on one lead and an original performance.
Recover the same order
- The photo will not load
- Export a fresh JPEG, PNG or WebP within the size limit, then preview it again.
- The options check cannot continue
- Keep the photo locally or replace it. Check again without treating the message as a paid order.
- Payment is unconfirmed
- Reopen the full private order link and check its verified state.
- Generation failed or needs review
- Use that order’s recovery path. Do not start a second purchase to repair the first.
- The result has a face, hand, playback or sound problem
- Note the affected moment and keep the order link for review. A failed or pending state does not prove a refund has reached your payment method. Read the refund and recovery policy.
Keep recovery links private: anyone holding the complete link may be able to access the order. Save an accepted video while its download is available.
